Nancy Brown

I recently enjoyed seeing my dear old friend and mentor Nancy Brown while on a shoot in South Florida. Nancy brought me in as an intern, then hired me as an assistant when I first moved to NYC. She not only taught me everything about commercial photography from A-Z, she taught me how to treat people with respect and dignity. Nancy also taught me that making photos should be fun and not to take yourself too seriously. She has fallen in love with Asia in recent years and has visited there quite often. Her new book "Simply China" is beautiful! Check it out: http://simplychinabynancybrown.com
Thanks Nancy, for all that you've done for me.

My name in Italian

It was great working with award winning Italian Director Sylvia Maione last spring. One of the projects that I shot for her, "I am still waiting a day" is a modern day Romeo & Juliet short for an Italian music producing company. I like seeing my name in Italian credits, pretty cool.

Cake Boss Christmas

Buddy (The Cake Boss) Valastro is always a real pro. After shooting for 12 hours on one of his many TV shows, he came home and allowed me plenty of time to shoot this piece for Elan.
I wanted to photograph Buddy at dusk, but his other shoot schedule was going to run late. So we set up early, got the beautiful sky at dusk and then waited for him to arrive and shoot the same position with him.
Have a VERY Merry Christmas!!!

Sweeet!

I want to thank Karin Giamella of Blue Sheep Bake Shop for the beautiful birthday cake and eye catching cupcakes that she supplied for a recent shoot. Their cakes are so much fun, not to mention very delicious! Check them out! http://bluesheepbakeshop.myshopify.com/

What was that?!

One thing I've learned over the years is that you never know what your gonna see on the beaches on Southern California! I brought my family to the beach one morning and right in front of me these two guys started flipping out! I had to get my camera. Thanks to Sean and Joshua, we had a memorable day!

Let's Merge

Photoshops Photomerge feature continues to amaze as to how simple it is to use. I wanted to emphasis the length of everything in the image, the pier, the beach, the board, etc. Photomerge helped me to achieve that with 11 exposures!
